Well, I don’t update my journal very often, but this is something I need to write about. :D

Last weekend, on May 09th – 10th, ~LadyMillennium and me visited the 5th Weekend of Horrors, the biggest convention for the horror genre in Europe. :zombie: It took place in Bottrop, Germany, and we attended the con for the second time. Like the last time, in November 2008, it was simply awesome! The whole building was decorated very nicely, even the toilets, and there was also lots of cool stuff to buy. The atmosphere of this place was simply great. However, the best thing were definitely the guests! I’ve been a huge fan of horror movies for my whole life. :D

We got autographs from Sybill Danning (Grindhouse, Halloween), Lance Henriksen (Alien 2 + 3, Terminator, Pumpkinhead, Millennium), John Saxon (Nightmare on Elm Street, Enter the Dragon), C.J. Graham (Jason Part 6, Highway to Hell), and Robert “Freddy Krueger” Englund, who’s one of the coolest guys I’ve ever met. Each of us gave Robert a fanart and he was totally thrilled and very happy about it. :aww: He liked my T-shirt very much and told me that he had never seen this motive before. He also wrote me a really special dedication on one of the photos I gave him to sign. :flirty: We let him sign a replica of Freddy’s glove too, and could even take photos together with Lance, John, and Robert. It was also especially nice from John Saxon to come, since he’s already 73 years old, and it probably was a really exhausting event for him. All of the guests were SO nice and it was absolutely awesome to meet these people! :worship:

Apart from this, we also took part in a very interesting and funny seminar about zombie defense, went to a concert of „The Other“, a German horrorpunk band, did some shopping, and attended the Q&A talks of the guests. :D

It was a truly memorable experience with lots of fun and friendly people and we are really looking forward to the next Weekend of Horrors in November! :excited:
